Section 17
Co-operative society to be an organized body
: (1) Co-operative society shall be a self-governing and organized body with unbroken succession.
(2) There shall be a separate seal for the proceedings of the Co-operative Societies.
(3) A cooperative organization may acquire, use, sell or make other arrangements for movable and immovable property as a person under this Act.
(4) A cooperative organization can file a complaint in its own name like an individual and can also file a complaint in the same name.
(5) Cooperative organizations can enter into contracts like individuals.
